Is it true Weird Al’s guitar player did your theme song?

Yes! We are so excited that Grammy Award winning Jim “Kimo” West wrote and performed our very own theme song! Besides having a very successful slack key guitar career of his own, Kimo is also Weird Al’s long-time guitar player, having played with Al since 1982! Dave and Ethan wrote the lyrics, but the music, the arrangement, and the vocals are all Kimo’s!

Did Weird Al perform your theme song live in concert?

Yes! Weird Al and his band surprised Dave and Ethan by playing their podcast theme song live on stage during the first show on The Unfortunate Return Of The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent Ill-Advised Vanity Tour at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, NY, on April 26, 2022! The guys didn’t know it was coming and were as shocked as everyone else in the audience! It was pretty stinking majestic!

Are you guys in Weird Al’s movie?

Yes! Dave and Ethan play Tough Bikers in WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story. You can see their Emmy Award winning performance in the biker bar scene where Weird Al is performs “I Love Rocky Road.” Dave and Ethan’s names also appear in the ‘Thanks’ section of the movie’s credits, and Weird Al gives a shout out to them, and the podcast, in the commentary track. Dave and Ethan were so honored to be asked, and the whole experience is one of the highlights of their lives.
